An event production company, NUWAVE Entertainment, conceived BLOCK PARTY. The company was founded in 2010 and has made a name for itself touring various international artists, creating exciting new local event brands as well as assisting in other large scale local productions.
BLOCK PARTY is our flagship brand and South Africa's premiere urban festival.The event launched 4 years ago in Johannesburg with a simple idea - to provide a world-class platform for local and international artists to be loved and celebrated by local fans. In 2015, 2016 and 2017 the event was headlined by BLACKCOFFEE.
We aim for an event as BIG & BOLD as any international platform and we succeeded with attendance and the brand awareness building in numbers and strength from year-to-year. In 2019, the Boss, Rick Ross, will headline the BLOCK PARTY.
